Herbalist in your Backyard: 90 minutes
Would you like to learn about the plants growing right outside your door? Maybe you'd like a survey of the plants growing in your yard, the weeds cropping up in your garden, the woodland and meadow plants that you've never learned. Perhaps you'd like an idea of what is native and what isn't. Or your interest may be more in what you can safely eat and forage, what is medicinal and what you might be able to do with these plants in your kitchen. Maybe you want to hear about the lore and spiritual uses of plants that surround you.
Whatever your interest, I can be your guide.
We will walk your land together and you will see the plants with new eyes, you will taste them and touch them and begin to know them in a familial way. In a time when technology is mediating so much of how we learn things, it is my belief that it is very important to be introduced to plants by another person and to develop a body-memory for them, a feeling. They become part of our meaning in the world and a deeper knowing, instead of just memorized names and more information for us to hold.
Once you register here, I will contact you to book a time for a session! And you can share with me your particular interest (herbal, foraging and feasting, native plants, etc!) so I can focus on that in our time together.
Following our session, you will receive a follow-up with a recap of the plants we met in your world. This will include their botanical and common names and any notes that are particularly pertinent to our time together and what you wanted to know. You can also ask some follow-up questions! I want to make sure you feel comfortable in your relationship with your plants!

I will definitely be gushing over my favorite plants and you will definitely catch the joy I feel from being together with these beautiful beings!
