A day of Braucherei with Jesse TobinSunday, July 27 9 AM - 3 PM This class is for previous or current students of Rooted Home Herbalism. In a morning session, Jesse will share in depth about the European and colonial American historical context of Braucherei and the many tributaries of influence contributing to this healing practice through time and space. In the afternoon, she will speak about what the practice of Braucherei looks like, drawing from interviews and other documentation. And she will share about how the tradition lives on today. Class will include a tea tasting, a brief plant walk, and a plant sit (Blantzeschwetze) guided by Jesse. There will also be time for harvest in our gardens and meadows for your home apothecary, with guidance from Annie and Shannon as needed. BYO lunch! Weather dependent, swimming is an option. Before class you will receive an email update with the plants that are available for harvest in our gardens and wild places. |
